hanstone, fine quartz surfaces
a division of hanwha
quartz surfaces specification binder
Hanwha, headquartered in Seoul, Korea, is a leader in innovative
technologies such as telecommunications, Internet and chemicals.
Hanwha established Hanwha Living and Creative Corporation
where both HanStone (quartz surfaces) and Hanex (solid surface)
are manufactured.
HanStone offers the natural beauty of quartz with up to
six times the strength and durability of granite. Also nonporous,
preventing unwelcome germs, bacteria and mildew, it does
not require sealing, conditioning and polishing like its
competitive materials, granite, tile and marble.
As a relatively new company to the competitive US marketplace,
HanStone was directly targeting the specifier audience, specifically
architects for their commercial and high-end residential
projects. In order to compete for the specification, HanStone
needed to provide the architect community with the right
materials to introduce the product and get specified.
A specification binder is a standard tool for the architectural
market. In it, all the elements are included for specifying
the product including 3-part specifications, technical data,
MSDS, care and maintenance and warranty information. The
binder is also used by the distribution channel to use as
a sales tool to make calls on the architectural community.
