public relations co-sponsor new
york farmer’s greenmarket kitchen at rockefeller
center fall 2002
Brenda managed all of the planning and details of this project
at a prior agency, working with the various parties to ensure
a smooth flow. Samsung Staron co-sponsored the building of
a fully functional kitchen in New York’s Rockefeller
Center Farmer’s Greenmarket in conjunction with Reed
Residential Group and D.R. Horton, one of the top five builders
in the US.
The market was held along with the New York City Greenmarket
Council. The Farmer’s Greenmarket was held on Fridays
and Saturdays at the North Plaza block in front of 50 Rockefeller
Plaza. Chefs from midtown restaurants held live cooking demonstrations
and tastings that aired on NBC’s Today Show with Al
Roker.
More then 250,000 visitors, tenants and New Yorkers were
able to experience this event. The Farmer’s Greenmarket
garnered significant exposure via foot traffic, promotion
and media attention. More than 3.5 million consumer impressions
were achieved during the 12-day period.
Core demographics: tenants in financial services, law, entertainment,
publishing and communications/media.
Results:
- National exposure for Staron, a new entry into the US
market
- Consumer and commercial food testing on the product
